The Non Valley

Coredo and the Non Valley
Agritur Widmann is based in Coredo in Val di Non, a delightful valley in the Trentino mountains.
Coredo, at an altitude of 840 metres, is the classic mountain village where people wave to each other in the street.
Tiny but with everything you need: a grocery shop and bar, two butcher shops,a pharmacy, a restaurant and a pizza by the slice.
There is also Castel Coredo, resting undisturbed on a hilltop, San Romedio, a sanctuary with 131 steps built into the rock, and Casa Marta, which hosts two small museums. Not to mention Palazzo Nero, the ex-court where witches used to be burned.
Who would ever have thought it?

What to do in Non Valley
Are you planning your holiday in Val di Non and don’t know where to start?
Below you will find some unmissable places and activities to discover the best of this valley.
But there is much more! If you want to explore every hidden corner, visit the official website of the APT Val di Non or download the free Mio Trentino app for iPhone and Android.

Canyons and castles
They don’t call it “the valley of castles” by accident, in fact in Val di Non there are around 20 castles rich in history. The most famous and open to visitors are Castel Thun (free with the Trentino Guest Card), Castel Valer, Castel Nanno and, of course, Castel Coredo, just a stone’s throw from our agriturismo. In Fondo, on the other hand, you can experience the thrill of entering a real canyon through a footbridge suspended at a height of 50 metres!

Due Laghi e San Romedio
If you come to Coredo, you can’t miss the Due Laghi – Santuario di San Romedio loop tour. The route starts at Due Laghi and winds its way along a short forest path to the impressive Sanctuary of San Romedio.
A walk between nature and spirituality, perfect for those who wish to appreciate the authentic beauty of the Val di Non.

Huts and lakes
The two most famous lakes are Lake Tovel, with its crystal-clear waters and white beaches, and Lake Santa Giustina, where you can paddle a kayak through spectacular canyon gorges.
For those who like to visit the malghe (shepherd’s huts), we recommend the route that leads to Corno di Tres, passing through Malga Rodeza, or the ring-route between the malghe (shepherd’s huts) of Cloz, Revò and Kessel.
